Infertility Related Surgeries

Advanced Surgical Solutions for Reproductive Challenges

At our center for reproductive health, infertility is approached with sensitivity, science, and individualized care. When non-surgical treatments are insufficient, targeted surgical interventions can play a pivotal role in restoring fertility potential and optimizing reproductive outcomes.

When is Fertility Surgery Indicated?

Infertility may be associated with a range of structural, anatomical, or hormonal abnormalities. Surgical management is considered when diagnostic evaluation reveals one or more of the following:
•       Tubal Blockage or Adhesions: Prevents fertilization by blocking the passage between ovary and uterus.
•       Endometriosis: Ectopic endometrial tissue can impair tubal and ovarian function. Surgical excision enhances reproductive outcomes.
•       Uterine Abnormalities: Congenital or acquired defects (e.g., fibroids, polyps, septum) may impair implantation or lead to pregnancy loss.
•       Ovarian Cysts or Tumors: Can disrupt ovulation or interfere with ovarian reserve.
•       Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): In resistant cases, laparoscopic ovarian drilling may help restore ovulation.

Surgical Services Offered

Fertility-focused surgeries are performed using minimally invasive techniques (laparoscopy or hysteroscopy) to ensure optimal outcomes with reduced downtime.
1. Laparoscopy for Tubal Blockage or Endometriosis
Minimally invasive visualization and treatment of pelvic adhesions, blocked tubes, or endometriotic lesions enhances natural conception or IVF outcomes.
2. Hysteroscopic Surgery
Scarless intrauterine surgery for:
•       Submucous fibroids
•       Endometrial polyps
•       Uterine septum
•       Intrauterine adhesions (Asherman’s syndrome)
3. Myomectomy
Laparoscopic or hysteroscopic removal of fibroids while preserving the uterus, improving chances of implantation and full-term pregnancy.
4. Tubal Reanastomosis (Tubal Reversal Surgery)
Restores fertility after prior sterilization, offered selectively based on age, tubal length, ovarian reserve and partner factors.
5. Ovarian Cystectomy
Surgical excision of benign ovarian cysts to restore ovarian anatomy and function.
6. Laparoscopic Ovarian Drilling (LOD)
Performed in women with clomiphene-resistant PCOS to improve spontaneous ovulation and natural conception.
